BABY CARE: Passengers travelling from Terminal 1 can now appreciate the benefits of the new look baby change facility at Manchester Airport. The new facility on level 5 is part of a phased development to upgrade all the baby change rooms at the Airport. Customers will be able to expect a lot more than the basic unit, especially as they may be travelling for several hours on a flight. The new unit boasts attractive decor, a children's high chair to restrain older toddlers in safety, a bottle warmer, a soft padded changing mat and a specially designed chair for nursing mothers. Full safety instructions are also clearly displayed. In Terminal 2, baby change facilities are located next to selected Ladies and Gents toilets, for use by either parent. These facilities are clearly signposted in each terminal. CHILDREN'S PLAY AREA: OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SERVICES: The Occupational Health Unit also providesa private Travel Health Service. We offer full assessment, advice and vaccinations (including Yellow Fever) to travellers on an appointment only basis. Charges apply. Appointments are required for all Occupational Health services. Fax: 0161 489 3963 MANCHESTER AIRPORT NHS WALK-IN CENTRE: Designed to help people with modern, busy, lifestyles to gain easy and flexible access to primary care services, Walk-in Centres complement existing local health services. The NHS nurse led service provides free consulations to eligible patients, treatments for minor injuries and illnesses, health information and advice - and it allows patients to make more appropriate use of locally available resources. However, as this is a nurse led service no prescribing or vaccinations are available. Consultations at the Walk-In-Centre do not require an appointment and will be available throughout the opening hours of 07.00 - 22.00 seven days a week. Outside of these hours The Emergencey Nursing Officer will provide emergency first aid services for staff and passengers.
